“Legami” is a 8 panels folded zine on my way of coping with grief, I created it this February, I needed to vent in the only way I truly know: by making art.
The title finds its meaning between the words “ties” and “relationships”.
The loss of my dad was so sudden and unexpected that completely changed my family dynamics, I spent the following months as a shell of myself, tirelessly caring for my mom and my grandparents while being shut down every time I tried to address the situation with them. My only alone time was during the night, when I’d either cry myself to sleep or draw until sunrise. I’ve never felt this strong of a push to produce art. Through this zine I reached out my hand and received so much love, thoughtful words and care.
